i think he means mopped
if there using just one mop and one polish i wouldnt bother, it needs to be done in at least 2 - 3 stages of polish and pads
mopped just means bring the paint back to life imo but still leaves scratches, swirls and buffer trails etc

basically taking a rotary polisher over the car to remove swirls etc, apperantly it takes about 5 hours to do.. a few people have sed its well worth the money and makes your paintwork look brand new..

as said depends on the process they use, i do it for 100 that is including washing, claying, 3 stage polishing and your own wax applied

Be careful who you take your car to mate, do your homework on them, every vehicle is different, every paint is different, and every paint condition is different. You need the right pad and polish combination to achieve as close to 100% correction as possible.
It isnt as easy as what people think, holograms and even more swirls are left behind if not done correctly.
But yes, if done correctly, can make a huge difference to abused paintwork, ive added a video and a couple of pics for you below to show you the difference it can make, the video is on a Mercedes SLK I corrected not so long back...

MOPEDS LOL
Used to do mopping at my old work place i mean 11 months of it day in , day out thats why it,s my old work place is pretty easy thoe tbh.
Mopping takes out most scratches if there not down to the primer , orange peel , and surface imprefections this is a basic guide there is more stages and outher things i could go into detail but i would be typeing all night doing the below will make any old paint work look better than it did.
Things needed
1200 wet and dry for deeper scratches.
1500 wet and dry normal use.
A good mop over a 100ers worth with extra polishing pads.
G40 G40 more G40 thats what i used to use but theres loads of diffrent brands.
Bucket of water.
steady hand.
Car polish/wax.
masking tape.
lots of cloth.
The only way to get a good finish is to do panel by panel.
Strip parts off that are easy to remove avoid door moldings just tape them up
if you get rubbing compound on them its a bitch to remove.
Ok now the above is done wet the whole panel then with 1500 make sure it,s always wet rub the whole panel. Dry then repeat be careful not to rub in the same spot for too long as this will in the end in tears and a BURN throught the laqure.
The panel should now look MATT no shine to it.
Now its time to mop with a cloth rub the G40 all over the panel and squirt some on the mop head with a circular movement mop the whole panel always keep it moveing NEVER stay in one place too long as the mop spinning heats up the paint and if you stay in one spot too long it will BURN throught the laqure.
After this the panel should have no matt finish and be quite shiny, if some matt remains re -mop after this check too see if theres any deeper scratches
if so repeat the above with 1200 and only concerntrate on the deep scratch area thoe no need to do the whole panel again.
Now all thats done polish/wax the panel and it should be REALLY SHINY and looking a dam sight better.
p.s I thought i would add an apprentice when i was working for this company doing this moped a car that just came out the oven can still rember the side of the audi A3 and the mangers look on his face lol.
Hope this helps fella :y:
