On the 18th of august 2009 at 11pm i crashed into the back of another car due to them braking suddenly and aggressively..

A Dog ran across the road which made him brake.

Both our cars are written off and he is claiming on my insurance.

My insurance is 1800 at the minute when i was in a 1.1 mk1 saxo valued at 450 with an excess of 400 fully comp.
his was 1800 aswell in a 1.3i ford fiesta valued at 1600 with an excess of 400 third party fire and theft.

we are both 17.

Anyone estimate the price of my insurance is going to be now?
I estimate double - £3200 a year.
We will try and get as much money out of the dog owner as possible.

:wall::wall::wall: :(

I think the average is around a 40% increase after a claim

Go diesel for a year. 106 only though cause the saxo diesel seem to give higher insurance quotes?

You wont be able to claim from the dogs owner.

The way they look at it is, you shouldnt have been close enough to crash into the car infront in the first place.

Highway code etc...states a certain amount of yards/metres for a safe stop at a certain speed.

It will go down as a fault claim against you and the car infront will doubtlessly be claiming off of you aswell.
If you we

itll go up alot because of your age etc, and u wont be able to claim anything from the dog owner either!

unlucky dude but nothing u can do about it, make sure the guy in front doesnt claim for whiplash too otherwise ur claim will go up..

If he is your best mate, why are you even going through insurance, with the price increase, and your excesses each you might as well pay out right then there is no claims to worry about.

Cause he is my best mate but he is an asshole cause he wants money from the insurance company.
Which will fuck me over for a good few years.
