hi i looked in my haynes modification manual for new modds and came across a mod for a remote strt where you can start the car from a start button. however my questions are:
1. Could you brake in and nic the car as you dont need keys!?
2. Is it easy to wire and install?
3. What are your opinions on having it?
Thanks

Do you mean remote start, as in controlled by a key fob, or an enigine start button?
If its the button, then you wire in so that the key has to be turned to stage 2 and then the button replaces the final turn of the key, so no keys mean the immobiliser will still activate and the steering lock on :y:
If its a key fob, then they will need that to start the engine, but i'd imagine if they had that they would probably have your keys too, as the whole lot would be attached.
Hope that helps?

Like said you use a relay and you give it an ignition supply so it will only fire the starter when the ignition is turned on.

If you are talking about remote engine start as in from a remote control you need and alarm and a remote start module. like a clifford concept 650 and an intellistart unit.
