Hi all, first post on here, so hope you don't mind me asking a question straight off!

Buying a Citroen Saxo 1.1i Desire on Monday or Tuesday, and it's all stock at the minute. I wanted a new stereo system so I can plug in my iPod straight into the radio, either with an aux cable, or using the USB cable that comes with the iPod (the one at the bottom of the iPod.) I didn't want to spend much on it at all, I've seen ones on offer at places like Halfords where they were only £50, which is around the price I want to spend (maybe more if it was worth it). Also, I wanted a little dock to sit my iPod on that charges it at the same time or something (obviously can't charge it if the stereo can have the USB slot).

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks.

you can have your ipod charging through the lighter your best bet for that would be the belkin radio tuner you can use that with the stock radio its about £40 but tbh its pretty pony. i wuld advise you to splash £50-60 on a radio from halfords or radio shack ect with front aux plug, there well easy to install (theres a thread around if you dont know how) should give u a resonable level of sound quality. you might be able to get one cheeper on ebay ect. hope this helps

go wild. it's hard to give an exact spec of HU

you have to look for yourself and finds one that suits both your cost, and features. theres too many on offer to pinpoint an exact HU for you

ones for £50 will be cheapo and crap though

the brands that you wana go for are - alpine, pioneer clarion.. JVC & Kenwood also do some half decent budget unit's

Thanks both :)

The ones I saw on the Halfords site were both half price.

The one that caught my eye the most was this one:

It's Sony, a good make, what you reckon? :)

Sometimes it might be better to get a 2nd hand unit for that price mate.

Spend abit more money and get a half dedent headunit with a full iPod interface (your looking at £100+ for a half decent iPod headunit tbh), these will charge your iPod when the headunit is on, you also fully control the iPod from the headunit too, just plug your iPod in a forget about it :y:

The Kenwood headunit i've got is quite good, simple to use, full controls my iPOod and charges it when ever its on.

Hi again :) I installed my CZ109E yesterday, and it was working fine all day after turning my car on and off numerous times, driving around etc. But then this morning I went to turn on my stereo and it wouldn't turn on! (Kept the faceplate in my house all night).

Any ideas? :S
