Ditto. Halfrauds proffesional, lifetime warantee on everything without moving parts so wratchets and wratchet spanners.
I use them, they very rarely let me down. Only thing that has is a 3/8 drive breaker bar which snapped, and the screwdriver bit sets you get in the cases are overly wank and will break everytime you use them, youll just be taking them back all the time. But the spanners, sockets, ratchets etc are very good quality.
If you get there biggest set at the mo its only £145 instead of £200+ I think, and if youve got mates in the trade who have a trade card you can get it for £97 ;)

Halfords pro range is good, i've got some of it and quite a bit of snap on stuff, brought a 2500 grand toolbox from them and probs got about 1500 odd quid worth of tools to put in it, for me snap on is easier as you can pay monthly and they come to where i work

Sealey tools are pretty good,
as reguards to the halfords lifetime gaurantee, it only covers non moving parts right? so ratchets aren't covered, which are the only thing in a socket set that are gonna break really? so there not much point in the garauntee lol, they still good tools though ive heard. ive got tengtool sockets which are pretty good, and i have a snap on ratchet whcih is great best one ive ever had, nicked from work haha ;)

I bought an extendable Stanley ratchet set from B&Q. Was only £30 and hasn't let me down yet.
Also bought a good set of ratchet spanners from a motorfactors (motoquip) in coventry that are very reliable. £17

Thats the dealer/representative though, not the tools ;)
But i do see your point. With MAC you just go your local dealer and change it.
