My best mate has one.... they are pretty nippy to be fair.... In comparison to a VTR (My mk2) it will slowly edge away in 4th. The extra valves make all the difference. ALthough I cant see it having anything on a VTS :P
Nice and new/modern interior and they do handle well. Nothing on a saxo in the dry though.
Hope it helps

same engine as the vts
not as quick as a vts due to weight
better built, better interior, better mod-cons
looks gay imo (Not a 206 fan)
wont handle aswell as a vts
conclusion: VTS is better drivers car, 206 is better car

Ive seen alot of them around and i really considered them for my next car
However its a marmite driving position, you love it or hate it (IVE BEEN TOLD)
But, it really depends what your after in a car?
performance
comfort
economy
cool factor
In my opinion and looking a the Parkers guide review and stats, I would say it would score 6/10 on all the above.
Anything else take your interest?

206 seats = agony in my experience!

so there was some truth in what my mate said
Im very bias towards a Zetec S only because I want one next year
I would steer clear of corsa's (personal opinion mind)
The VTR is a nice little step up
but the Zetec S (not sure what MK your after) may not have the performance of say a VTS but make up for it else where, looks, quality, insurance group, decent mpg on most models too

I wouldnt say its the driving postion, as the passenger seats just as crap too lol. I drive an ax and it doesnt get much more cramped than that are its far far nicer for long journeys than the 206. I get major back ache, as did my mate who used to own one.

My gf has one ive been driving it for the past 3 weeks as the sax has been off the road, heres what i think of it compared to the sax baring in mind i only have a Furio and this is a 1.6 16v.
Steering is alot more heavier,
Its alot slower off the line,
Clunky gearbox,
Seat position is weird cant get used to it,
Smoother to drive,
top end power is rapid,
doesn't rev up tp 7200rpm like vts,
Quiet,
Nice stereo with steering controls,
automatic lights wipers,
its abit of yes and no from me i found the saxo was easier to drive and also felt nicer to drive with the postiion of the seat steering wheel and the lower down power you get from the 8v.
So theres my honest input personally wouldn't have one but are nice for long drives....

206 XSi- they're not bad, but they're nothing special. Average in pretty much all areas, I'd take a Zetec S Fez for its better chassis.
