2 of my training partners went in for the british npa bodybuilding championships yesterday represending the gym i train at, both natural, vincent mwayi (black bloke) and carlos baradas, the condition of these 2 are amazing, carlos came 5th and vince is now the British Middleweight champion, The Npa overall British champion and also won best presentation, anyone on here competed?

yeah vince is a beast, he moved to the uk when he was 25 from uganda, they dont have gyms there as its a poor country so he made his own gym at 15 out of rocks and rope and started training
if thats training naturally there's a few hours been spent in the gym there
both been training over 20 years

lol i am nothing like them as i am not cut at the moment bulking hard and strong as a ox at the moment stronger then laods of the people in the gym that are on steriods it pisses them off, 5ft 9" 15.2 stone, 18" biceps and 34" waist, i will be cutting up at the end of january ready for summer 2010, pics look crap as dont have a tan so u cant see true shape

yeah, i am natural but most of the steriod lads are bigger then me but i am alot stronger, plus i can easily see when the sterod lads are on a break from the juice they loose there size so quick

haha my hair changes every 2 weeks as i go to the local collage and let the trainees do what ever to it as its a free haircut, if they mess it up i take the lot off lol

Very impressive with that amount of dedication. Although for those guys its more of an addiction i would imagine.

still at body flex mate, i been to most the other gyms in aylesbury and i am not saying this to be cocky but there is not heavy enough weights at places like cannons and aquavale for me, i am passionate about training but also as u know tom with me being a doorman i need to be strong and have explosive power

Know what you mean Steve. I'm pretty strong for my size and when the blokes are off their cycles both their strength and size just drops through the floor. FUnny when they say "well I can lift ...kg" I just reply with "but i'm natural and when you finish your cycle I'll be stronger than you"

In my opinion being nothing but muscle like that is OTT
But all respects to them though, they're doing something they enjoy and have dedication.
I also have major respect in the fact they've got where they are without using performance enhancing drugs :y:

i trained with a steriod lad last week and he normally does deca but is on sustanon at the moment, he is alot bigger then me but i was benching 125kg for 5-6 reps 3 sets, he was benching 110kg for 5-6 reps, i was shoulder pressing 45kg dump bells, he was shoulder pressing 30kg dumb bells, i was dead lifting 200kg, he was deadlifting 180kg, the list goes on... but like i say i am stronger and natural, he is weaker but bigger as he is unnatural

yeah legs are near enough in proportion to my unpper body, i havent been able to do squats for 6 months due to a rugby injury but still been doing my legs but without doing squats so been doing more calfs raises and leg presses but they just do hit them as good as squats, i just bought some new knee supports so hopefully i will be able to start squatting again and get back to heavy weights, its my right knee thats letting me down and just feels like its gona give way

Very impressive weights you're doing there Steve, whats your weight in kgs?
I'm considering entering a powerlifting comp in uni at the end of next month but dunno whether or not I should lol. I'd be going for deadlifts only

oh and vince went in for a powerlifting comp while he was at a body building convenction, he benched is own bodyweight for 38 reps and won his own bodyweight in protein from maximuscle

At the mo I deadlift 210kg for 2, however my best is 220kg. I weigh 84kg I'm also 21

good weight, mines 200 for 6 reps, i never do under 5 reps as i dont get enough out of doing 2 reps it dont feel like it hits it enoguh so i wait till i've progressed to doing 8reps on a set before i up the weight so that i am at least doing 5 reps on the next higer weight set, post some pics of of your physique

i don't have any recent ones mate, some are a year old. I shall try and get some tonight when i'm training.
I do my normal set like 60kg warm up, 100kg for 12, 140kg for 10, 180kg for 5, then 210kg for 2 then back down to 180kg for 5 again

same sorta, i warm up do 60kg for 5, 100kg for 5, 140kg for 5, 180kg for 5, then as i am warmed up i now go in and do 3 sets of 200kg for 6 reps or as many as i can
