Hi Everyone, I'm going to look at a VTR next week it's an 03 reg and wanted to get some information of you guys n gals on here who have/had a VTR before. I just wanted to know if there was anything major to look for and listen for when I take it for a test run. Many thanks

Cool, what would be wrong with the gearbox if anything bud also the drive shafts. Are they an expensive fix? Ive got a Saxo Desire at the moment and havent had any problems with it over the 3 years ive had it.

jack it up at the back, wiggle the wheel/tyre left to right, up and down and make sure there isn't any play - if there is the beams on its way out

Look under the ECU in the engine bay, common place to rust/rot

Most important imo are:

Rear axle - Can be expensive to get a new one.
Gear Box
Drive Shafts
