More like 7 seconds tbh
Not overly that fast in a straight line but handle awesome :D

Always wanted on but not sure if al get one.

if you're hoping to hit 60 in 5.s and continue to 140 you'll be very disappointed firstly because that time is false and secondly because they are limited.

it would be nice if i could buy a car so quickly, i tend to look for every bad point in order to try and see if its worth the money.

You bought a tractor?? Lower it lool
Nice car mate.

Tommo87
28th October 2009, 23:09
please please please do not buy any budget parts for your 9 as they will ruin the whole ethos of it.

Eg for a manifold here's a few of ones with proven gains Toda,Mugen,Spoon,5zigen and all are above £500 just for the manifold i believe.

What you pay really does reflect the quality of part in the JDM, cheap = shit most of the time.

thanks for all the kind coments dudes and also to the guy who got the pics working

the car was derestrited when it came into country so the stats are almost true but the cars 10years old so its a little slower but still absolutly rapid.

yeh no money will be spared on this car!JDM all the way.

insurance is a bitch seeing as the rates went up just before i bought it!

I used to like toying with my mates b18c-R'd 9 when i had my EG,he never could shake me. Playing with standard ones was no fun though as the EG had more power and less weight.

Good to see no expense will be spared.

Just so happens i have an EK9 Clutch, flywheel and a DC2 front upper strut brace lying about and for sale if you're interested in any and possibly some BuddyClub Adjustable Camber Arms.
I also will have a custom b-series valve cover coming up soon but that'll be pretty dear due to time it'll take to do.

All Jap imports (don't know if it applies to other countries) are group 20.

Really do not see the appeal with the EK9. My mate at works absolutely bums them. Do not do it for me at all. Am sure they are good cars to drive and give good driving enjoyment but nope, not for me.

Tommo87
3rd November 2009, 23:27
i have no idea where this all imports are group 20 comes from,it's a total myth.

My EG6 was an import and that was group 17 (fully declared) and the 9 i had for 10 days was group 18 (fully declared) with my insurance company.

Nice car that wing does look a different shade to me.

The s2000 has a disclaimer with it basicully branding it as a "ditch finder" which is why the insurance is more than a porchse boxster s :panic:

iirc the 0-60 is around 6.5 no?

Would you prefer the word "sticky" or "note". Its not just the insurance group that affects how much a car costs..:ponder:

[QUOTE=MiniGibbo;3815671]

Just don't know what you are on about

Certain cars have "notes" along side there insurance group which also bumps the insurance up eg e36 m3's and scoobys are more exensive than other cars in there groups due to being the most claimed on cars for accidents.

The s2000 is higher due to being whats commanly known as a "ditch finder" Think there biggest problem is unlike the dc2's you cant catch the lift off as easily making them easier to loose.

One of my mates had a import s2000 with the quick rack before he got his dc5 and now back to a dc2  i looked at buying his s2000 off him until i got a qoute LOL

not all imports are group 20

friend of mine has a JDM CRX 1.5 Dual Carb and its group 14 or thereabouts
