Im having some trouble fitting my sub and amp, I have most cables sorted but now stuck with the Remote Cable?

Where does this go?

I have a blue cable coming out of the ISO block which has a ATT label stuck on it. Its only a short piece of wire, do I connect it to this or a different cable?

Would appreciate any help :)

Thanks

On my old headunit it didnt seem to have a remote wire in the iso block, so I got around it by buying a switch and wiring the remote from the amp to the switch I bought The remote is just for the amp to switch off when the power on the car. one problem with using the switch though is that if you leave the switch on it will run the battery down, which I found out :(

Thanks for replying.

I did search and read about a switch on the remote cable.

Can I buy any switch or do I need a certain one?

Hopefully will remember to switch on and off lol

No problem. I just used a switch that I use at college. It is an RS component switch.
Here is the one on their website

I would say any switch would work. this one is illuminated so you can easily tell that it is still on :) You could get one from any electrical shop or even halfrauds.

Thanks for replies :)

Had a look at getting a switch, just thought it would be too much hassle, so just want to connect to wires on cd player.

Im stuck at which wire I need to connect to.

Is there someone on here who's really good with cd players, that if I took a pic of the wires, they would know which one ?

it is the short blue wire you was on about.
you need to connect a wire from that into the remote input on your amp.

I asked somebody about this and they said not to as this is some sort of mute button on my cd player. It is just a short piece of cable going nowhere, I will get some pics of all my cables later, hopefully will be easier :)

Just use the remote power ariel if u have that wire, or use the accesery wire (yellow or red depending on headunit) so the amp comes on when you turn your key. Make and model of your headunit would help

Its a Sony headunit, will get the exact model later. I will also get pics of the cables, cos I had to use an adapter from the saxo cables to be able to use the headunit.

im pretty good with Audio install/CD players mate sorted a few people out on here. Would it be possible to get pictures of the wiring into the CD player for me?

Remote is usually blue/white wire in the connector block running into the CD player. Splice/solder your wire into this cable and run it through the car into the amp so when the power is turned off so does the amp to save your battery running itself flat :y:
