turns on and everything can even open the cd tray but i got sound but no picture tryed a new aerial cable still the same i went on the xbox website registerd my xbox and it said my warriety is out so looks like im saving for a new one :n:

i had the same problem, the motherboard had dropped damaging the solders on the video output, i stupidly tried to fix it myself and ended up throwing it away

UPDATE brought a hdmi cable and it works fine now :)

nah was my scart cable tryed it on my mates xbox and it was the same on there

That would be just the component connection failing then! Just bare in mind that the HDMI will most likely be the next thing to go down! I'd get it fixed asap tbh! Most places will fix that issue for around £30 if your warrentee doesn't cover it :y:

i had an xbox in the other day that had the same problem to be honest i put it in my resoldering machine to see if it will fix it and it worked but there aint no garentee :))
