Quinn Direct mate and yes I would of thought so but if your dads company insurance is anything like the one at my company then there will be a rediculous excess (huge excess on my company van).

1956 for me mate. If you ionly just passed it will be ariound 2200 to 3500. I found out if u add a senior woman driver only as a second driver to your policy it'll drop by about £100. Dont listen to Azza lol he's always had cheap insurance...skanky git. and im on same insurance as him and had my licence for longer -.-

Ditto to that.
on the VTR ours is just shy of £400, thats mainly becausse of the misses and this being her first car due to not having to drive before hand.
if i insured it on my own it was £227.
my Hilux is only just over £400
Focus RS is £413
and the Escos is £880

Is it only me living in the real world here? You should set your limit for paying insurance companies at 1k max! 17 or not 17! Lie about everything untill you get to that price! Get it in your 60 year old grannys name with you as a named driver if you have to. They can try say what they want but they will have to pay out if it comes down to it, remember nothing is signed over the internet. Deary me.
Also, before people slag me off - remember your excess will be something ridiculous like £800 so unless you write someones car off, it would be cheaper for you to privately arrange to fix it with them,
Insurance really is a con. If you think any price you pay is a "good deal" its not, trust me.

I'm guessing his mother policy, when people say cheap quotes, there is always a reason, named driver/not there policy, think about it ffs. especially that young.

you want to watch out getting insurance in someone elses name with yourself as the named driver if the car is in your name - it came up on a thread the other day about how the insurance companies are refusing to pay out if they can prove that's how you're getting around the premiums. you're better off getting a smaller engine car and some ncb before upgrading. mine's still £1k and I'm 20 with nearly 2 years ncb - got to renew it in january so hoping to get it down a bit

im paying like 1500 with quinn on a 1.1 and im 19, i only passed in may though, and apparently something to do with where i lived added some money to the premium. i could get on a furio for the same price but if i wanted a vtr it would go up to 1800. so furio it is i think =] also i looked around for about 3 weeks for cheap insurance, changing everything i could to make it cheap but this was the lowest by alot.
