some very nice pics there mate, especially like the 2nd and last one. The 3rd one is nice too, but i maybe tempted to shop the road out on the right and the puddle on the left so they dont distracts as much, however thats just personal, still a very nice shot, loving the warm tone. smileys/smiley14.gif

photoshop is relatively simple to use once you have got used to the hundreds of different options, best thing to do is to download a copy and have a play mate, use www.digimods.co.uk for tutorials and although its about virtually modding cars the principles can be used for photos as well.

Oh but it is, you have to know where to go smileys/smiley2.gif
Last year, I spent more than 6 weeks in Scotland over the year, the same the year before and the year before etc etc. Love it, don't ever go anywhere else...

Some REALLY great pics there Mike! smileys/smiley14.gif
The one above... is that a layer of ice on top? Just trying to figure out the extended shutter versus static bit smileys/smiley2.gif

Now for my extended review smileys/smiley2.gif
#1 Nice surroundings but the pic is a bit busy. Also there is no obvious subject which makes is a bit boring.
#2 Great pic, could do with a bit of PS though
#3 Awesome... bit the shopped version is better. Also there's a disturbing 'thing' on the right.
#4 Nice view. The pic isn't as good as the previous two though
#5 Shame about the flame. Difficult not to get this though with these kind of pics.
#6 Superb! What the hell happened to that tree??
#7 Great timing to get that light! The two people are nice touch too, though I not sure yet if the pic would be better with or without them
#8 Needs touching up the colours in photoshop. Want me to have a go? ;)
#9 Nice dof. Maybe a bit too much?
#10 Would be better if it was a few inches to the right. The ice (which is really the subject here) is a bit too central and you can't see where the water is going.
#11 Drop that ISO! Why ISO 400? Look at the noise! Always use the lowest ISO setting for these kind of pics! You need a tripod or other support for these pics anyway, so what's the problem in using a lower ISO setting and getting a higher shutter speed because of that?
#12 IMO one of the best best pics of the lot. But you really need to work on your PS skills smileys/smiley2.gif
It's funny and interesting to see how people like the water/ice pic, while it's a very simple pic to take. Camera on tripod, up the shutter speed, take picture. The landscapes are way harder to take IMO, but you did pretty well!
The PS version that Jungle Jim did would be on my wall if I had taken that!
BTW I hope you're not offended by some of my comments. I'm not the best photographer myself, but I try to give some usefull feedback about how I see the pics. They're all very good, but some thinks can be better so I tell you. IMO that helps more that just shouting ooohh and ahhh smileys/smiley2.gif I like it when people do that to my pics aswell.

Thanks for that dude! All comments appreciated - as it says in the books "you will always get criticism for you work, nothing is ever perfect"
Hmmm, maybe one day will learn photoshop smileys/smiley17.gif
