Fuel gauge - give or take 1/4 of a tank :s is that normal

My fuel guage changes constantly one minute its half a tank the next its 1/2 then back to half again with the space of like 2 minutes :S

Is this normal is it just the crappy french design or do you recon my sensors fuked?

I think I know what you mean! It shouldn't jolt about - have a look at the sender under the rear bench attached to the fuel pump

i mean 1/2 to a 1/4 sorry lol just trying to work out if its the french factor or a repairable factor :) basically does this happen to most 106/saxos

last question how do i acces the sensor? i understand that its under the seats, under the cover but one cover has the pump the other has the fuel pressure reg :s

just read up in the good old haynes manual and apparently on later models the sender unit is intergral to the fuel pump lol so i think ill just cope
