I always supply my own parts to the garage i use, for a basic service they charge me like £50.

For a major service when they replaced belts as well they charge me £115

wicked. need to do it! i know for a fact its not had a service in the past 20,000 miles, and god knows about before then. has no service history! lol

when do you need belt changes?

I personally had my belts changed at 48,000 miles but i think normally its 60,000. Imo you should also replace the water pump at the same time while the belts off.

20,000 miles without a service aint good mate, mine would be done 6 times in that space of time if not more lol

well your not far away tbh.

i'll get a quote from my local garage cos it will cost £15 petrol to get to you and back, so will be £45 in total. so if my local garage is £50 will be easier to go with them.
although you could show me what to do for the future. so save me money in the long run.
i'll think about it.

and after what ashley said i'll do £25.
my pins are like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FLUSH-FIT-LOCKING-BONNET-PIN-CAR-SET_W0QQitemZ350227070797QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Car sParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item518b28ff4d ive got a garage locally that will do them, and i dont wanna put pressure on you to do them cos if they go wrong i wont be a happy bunny and i cant make you pay for a new bonnet or anything. if a garage screws it up i can make them sort the problem for me for free.
i'll get the garage to do my bonnet and you do the service?

yeahh fair enough. they and areocatches are like the only road legal pins now. otherones are dangerous to pedestrians apparently. well i'll see when i can get my pins fitted and come see you late next week. will need to buy all the parts for the service and get them in time, so later next week would probs be best. i'll pm you once i know when my pins are getting fitted :y:
