View Full Version : A really random comparison for next car

Right i'm looking for a new car, and two that have popped up in my mind are literally 2 mins away at my local garage, so going to have a look/drive at both tomorrow hopefully.

The two cars are:
03 Mini Cooper S in Grey
53 Audi A3 Tdi Sport in Dark Blue

The Mini is more funky, better handling and fun to drive with quite a few added extras.
The Audi is more refined, better built? More comfortable and cheaper on insurance/tax. But service costs more?

I'm just not sure if i wanna stick a fun car like my VTS or dull it down abit and start saving money for more important things.

Btw both cars are the same price

Cooper S all the way.. The A3's are good cars, but IMO the Mini looks better.

They're both German, so will have good build quality. Mini Cooper looks better though.

The mini's interior is seriously shocking, however everything else about the car is absalutely great. However, the A3 is a fantastic car. I have driven a 1.9 tdi 130bhp model and it was fantastic. Very smooth, great engine and fantastic seats. So the Audi has my vote my friend

Just having a quick glance in the window, i thought the mini's interior looks quite cool. Only thing annoying is where all the window switches n stuff are

S3 in white with black roof & black wheels = win

A3's are quick, but not a drivers car like the mini is

Much nicer car to drive (Yes, I have driven both) and feels better build quality IMO.

A3 all the way...the new mini is a BMW, not a true mini
