Car's been crashed into hit and run (UPDATE CAR GOES IN FOR PAINT OVER CHRISTMAS)

Ok been frankies and bennys with my gf for a meal as it's her 21st parked in the car park come out and the driver,s side wing is pushed in front bumper is hanging down and cracked and my new 1 week old angel light has been scraped fog lights smashed FFS .

The car park has cctv but the security hut was shut with no one in it so what should i do now im now at home should i report it to the police still

I have a part of the car that hit me it's a piece of painted black side molding by the looks of it.

Give the cop's a ring about it and try track down the cctv footage - you may be able to get the person done for leaving the scene of an accident + dangerous driving

Ok called the plod and the gave me a crime refrence number got to go down there and fill out a fail to stop accident form.

Then tomorrow im takeing the day off and going back to the car park as it has full cctv and a security hut armed with....

Happend between 8-10pm on 11/11/09

And the vehicle was iver black or had black side moldings.

If find them i will probley stam on his or hers face many times !!!

It's also best to tell your insurance company, if you can get hold of the nobs details whos done it to you, report it to your insurance ASAP and they can track him down :y: Your car was parked and unattended and you have evidence hes done it (CCTV) And all your losses will be claimed from his insurers, trust me mate they aint getting away with it :y:

I would inform your insurance company and talk to the CCTV/security guys tomorrow......then call the police once you have the registration number.

You can inform the police, but not much they can do, Once you have reg call your insurance and they will be able to tell who they are insured by and can get in touch with their insurance who will get in touch with them, the only way the police could help is if they wernt insured.

But i would tell the police the reg.

So the update is i have been back to the car park where it happend and they have a security hut (was locked up lastnight) spoke to the fella there and the car park has full cctv so i have got to wait untill monday while they review the cctv to see if the caught it gave him the make and colour of my car , time and date.

Been down police station they gave me a hit and run accident form to fill out if i get them on cctv.

If not it's comeing out of my pocket as im not claiming on my insurance as i have 3 and a 1/2 years no claims and will be protected in 6 months not worth loseing all that for the damage whats there.

Also got a rear quater molding off the outher car/van witch says RENUALT on the back gonna try to find out the make and model via PART NUMBER witch it also has on it.

If does end up comeing out my pocket how much am i looking at think the bumper and wing can just be repaired and painted side arch needs painting also plastic bit under the light need's painting and new fog.

If you end up having to go thru your insurance i recommend against claiming for he cost of a bumper and a bit of trim ;)

Worth it to get a Reg plate ;), just ask a mate to tell the cops the plate and say he was a witness that came forward after you put up a few signs in franky and Bs etc etc

Hi peeps the cctv company didn't find anything on there cameras they just monitor the shop front's not the carpark :homme:.

So been down a local body shop and they have quoted me 380 to have the front bumper and wing repaired and repainted and a new fog light also having the rear bumper repainted as i want to lose the tow eye :y:

Not all bad thoe the car gods are looking down on me i won 100 quid on a scratchcard today :P

Been down to my local bodyshop (where i get all my painting done) and been quoted 300 thats to paint and repair the front bumper with a new fog and a brand new wing fitted and painted not bad tbh and the work is top notch the car goes in over xmas as i have 2 weeks off :P so wont need my car.
