Car turning over but not starting :(

Hi guys. yesterday i drove thru a big puddle and about 3 miles later my car jumped and died. Today i have so far dried out the soaking yet induction and used wd40 on the inside of it. I have managed to have the car almost start but then it died? Yes the car has had new spark plugs some 2 months ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My motoring luck has been its worst this week :( :wall:

Might be nothing to do with the puddle, mine cut out not long ago was turning over but wuldnt fire turned out to be the earth strap had snapped.

could be engine over time - take the plugs out and try and let the water evaporate if possible, the nsee if you can start it

Could be fuel pump. Have you tried listening for the fuel pump priming itself before you turn the key to start? Or try depressing the fuel cut off/inertia switch and then try starting. Hope this helps.

hi guys thanks for all these comments. The problem was something to do with the imboliser. Somebody had bridged it to a diffrent switch that when pressed would make the car backfire. This had somehow messed up with the engine so it wasnt imoblising. Ive now lopst my frav mod but the engines sorted. Thanks for all your help :)
