Ok the system the GTR uses is so the ped would go over the roof instead of smashing his/her's head on the windscreen. And 2nd i doubt any1 on saxp has an income to get a GTR R35. Interesting read but thats what rich buggers have to pay so get on with it.

Youd be surprised, fair few pretty minted people on here they just keep it quiet
Also I know this is anal but it isnt the R35, tis not a skyline. The Skylines dead, its (originally British) creation company which was bought by Datsun was kept as a company division which ran the development of the Skylines. Nissan killed it off after the final versions of the R35 were completed.
And Boiracer theyre only £55k. An £11k repair build is 20% of the cost of a new one. Thats an expensive cost on any car to anyone

sounds like a good system for the makers to make a nice profit to me each person having even a light shunt gets them a nice sum of money for the new parts ...think id try and find a way of disabling that feature if it was me

that seems like a bit of a fail system actually, i can see they dont want people smashing into the windscreen, but if your going fast enough when you hit a pedestrian to throw them over the roof, theyre probably gunna be dead from the impact and then the impact with the floor after.
seems a lot of work for something that might kill them 12 seconds later.
but on topic, thats a huuuge repair bill....

Its crazy, i would want to remove the system all together.
If he removed it though, and hit and killed someone, his car would be taken in a checked over and his insurance would be void. And he'd be fooked!!

Hmm...
the way the system works is that if you hit a person... they roll onto the bonnet and then the bonnet flips up and throws them over the car damaging any more of the gtr.
Ive heard 20ft in the air is about what it does...

not if he declared it to insurance, its not like its a legal requirement to have a pedestrian catapult(sp?) bonnet ...... yet.... besides he could explain to teh insurance company that it willl save them money in a accident lol im sure they will be fine then. lol

is the point in the bonnet lifting not to soften the blow and to stop the persons head smashing through a carbon bonnet and onto a solid engine underneath, which correct me if i am wrong, but the engine sits almost tight against the underneath of the bonnet
