My power steering has started getting really stiff and has sticky spots, so just looked at the fluid level aND THERE IS NOTHING IN THE RESEVOIR. HAVE HAD A QUICK LOOK AT THE MAIN PIPE WHICH RUNS ALONG THE BULKHEAD AS I KNOW THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON LOWERED SAXOS, THIS DOESNT SEEM TO BE LEAKING, ANY OTHER COMMON PLACES THE FLUID COULD BE LEAKING FROM?

i had huge problems with power steering fluid leaking from my quiksilver along with other problems, so much so i ended up breaking it

ive been told it may be a pipe that had burst due to it being lowered it was rubbing against it, the garage said it would be a big job to replace,

heres where my leak was, everytime i turned the steering id get spurts of fluid leaking from that area

i think the best option may be to get it on ramps and get someone to turn the steering while you look underneath to see if you can find the leak, thats if you havent tried that already, im not sure what else you could do really

sorry im no use here :P

Could be one of two things

pas pipes

or the actual steering rack seals

id seriously check the pips for rubbing again, mine did exactly the same, didnt look like it was leaking through there, had the rack out and everything couldnt figure out what it was until i put the pipe under high pressure using a compressor and there was a pin hole leak on were it was rubbing, check the connections of the pipe to the rack and the pump too, make sure theres no cracks in the bottle

thanks for your replies, took it into work yesterday and it looks like there maybe a tiny hole from the power sterring pipe so going to fit a new one tonight and see how i get on, just hope its not the rack itself!!
