is there any way of knowing when the lamba sensor is knackered???

Will fail on emmisions when having your MOT, and iirc if its buggered your engine management will come on

It can cause the ECU to record a fault code, however getting a diagnostic reading is expensive. They are an expendable part, they're not meant to last forever and do need replacing after a number of years. Has your car just failed its MOT?

someone just said that my lamba sensor could be the problem which im havin at the moment with my vtr. but the light hasnt come on. could you just have a look at my other thread please mate. i put it on about 15min ago. and see what you think it is. thanks
