Quickshift fitting

Hi all.
I have a quickshift fitting/mounting which i have had for nearly a year in the box. earlier in the year as i was changing the Gearstick gaiter, i was going to change this also. but noticed that it could be a bit tricky as the centre console screws to the original gear casing. How would i get round this? Is it an easy job to do to add the quickshift unit?

I take it you have the compbrake quickshift??

Compbrake? not sure. its a solid alloy one that replaces the whole plastic dome thing that the gear stick goes into. 4 screws hold the thing in place. Got it off ebay ages ago. Dont you find that ebay items rarely fit perfectly !! lol

my console just sits over the top. wiggles about abit but its not a big deal
