reduce its sound ... in loudness and SQ , does sound deading behind it improve in both ?

my rear 10cm speakers are very close to the bare metal and are attracted to it like mad.. same with my front comps mid..

is this reducing the sound , im planning on sound deadining next month ..
just wanted to know before hand.

it would have an affect

a minimal one though, unless your a hardcore audiophile...

my studio monitors are enclosed in a completely un magnetised cabinet to stop any form of interference...

speakers work because of the two magnets, the permanent one at the back of the speaker) and a electro magnet which is the voice coil. the attract / repel depending on the current going through them. and the voice coil is connected to the diaphram which is the bit of the speaker you see and it creates sound

interferance can cause slightly "off" notes.

but if your doing it properly and just running the 10cm speakers off the headunit, you will not notice anything

sound deadening isnt magnetic though from what i remember, and the thin layer of material behing the foil will help stop this magnetic force, allthough it wont reduce it completely

that answerd my question nicely :) ,

is sound deadining , going to make a big difference in my sound system?

plan on doing , front doors , abit of the rear doorcards , and obviously the big one the boot.

installation 75% - equiptment 25%

sound deadening is the best audio invention ever

arguably rainbow speakers are better though :D

haha , :)
but then your just biast ;)
one last thing .. is sound deading going to improve the Sq coming from my component mids, also improve the bass they throw out?
ive never really experiance sound deadining so i dont have an opionion :( , although i will be getting second skin if that helps.

theyre mostly the same, but ive used 2nd skin and its good stuff, the bulk pack of 40sq foot is like £80 iirc, which is enough to do boot floor, front doors, boot lid, and a little of the rear quarter panels.. thats 2 layers of each btw! so very tight sounding car.

comps dont produce bass ;) but yeah it'll enhance what freqs are produced, as no energy is being lost into the resonating panels.

id never use anything other than rainbow again tbh for speakers, but id like to compare to the equivilant DLS range, i find the cheaper rainbows to not be as good though, SPL / hertz are on the same level, once you get into the +£200 range, you cant touch rainbow or DLS

2 layers... of each , haha wow i only thought it would stretch to 1 layer.. didnt expect that , my mids produce "some" sort of bass ;) haha ,

one day i hope to hit the 200+ barrier but for now i just dont think i could justify spending 200 quid on comps.. i have spl dynamic 5.2's and cant really fault,

on another note.. i was offerd some just as described "rainbow 13cm kick bass comps"
said he didn tknow the model just had 100w wrote on the back think they was the older ones..

ive got kick bass comps, id find out the model though if you were to buy

as the kick's dont look different to any other rainbow, but were a lot more costly, so anyone can claim theyre kicks

the kicks are the much better range though, they dont make them anymore... they were the old SLC range, before the SAX range.. £260 brand new

they produce higher midbass, and are just a superior version of the SPL 5.2D tbh

mids produce midbass ;) theres several different ranges of freqs. most mids do drop pretty low though, allthough it's not needed atall if running a sub, you dont want your comps lower than 100hz

sometimes the market for high range products just isnt there.. everyone expects audio to be cheap, unless on a good audio forum its hard to sell stuff

i had soundstream t410, very very rare, and an awesome bit of kit, only from the USA, they were $400 brand new, i sold it for £80 (3rd hand) because i couldnt find anyone who appreciated how good it potentially was

sold my JLe2150 amp for £60 too, £190 brand new

wow... where was i at this time , i would of had that jl amp...

shame man .. the market just isnt around when you want it to be...

not sure if i should buy a project track car or a project ice car :( , started to make me think haha ;p , cheers for the help though mate
