not sure if any of you are aware that from friday 13th nov 2009 the government made it compulsory that all cars from the year 2001 and above have to have a type approved cat on it not exactly sure as from when in 2001

What you mean type approved?? Are some cheap ones not good enough??
Ive got a sports cat....that best be ok.

im going to find out more info at work tomorrow and see if i can get some deals on them for sax p members not sure if sports cats come into that category

meh, my car passed its MOT without a cat on, so in my eyes mine is perfectly legal :D

standard cats yes from 92 but a new legislation is in now has to be type approved from certain month in 2001

ive got a std cat on mine from my company and have used them for the past 5 years and no problems with them

just well looked after engines, poperly serviced and warmed up before the mot. cats are mainly for cold starts an running
