Fuel Gauge not working

hi ppl

my fuel guage stopped working...so i replaced the fuel pump/sender but it still doesnt work...

wen you turn the ignition on, the guage goes crazy then just says it empty...any ideas?? thanks

Usually when what you descibe happens, it usually turns out to be either a loose or dirty earth or there is a break or partial break in the wiring.
