Was coming out of college this morning, coming down a driveway doing 5-10mph as you honestly couldnt do anymore, saw this lady at the end car wasnt moving, i got closer she started to hesitate, she decided to pull of so i followed then got half in the road and stopped!
Resulting in me going into the back of her, at about 10mph! couldnt stop as i was on a patch of leaves also had been belting down with rain an hour before hand!
Going to repair it myself
No engine damage as of yet, my mates going to come check it out but i now need a new bumper, bonnet, grille, headlight-indicator and a passenger front wing.

i agree it smells like a male cow's poo. tbh i've been in a car that tapped the back of another car at 5mph (it was just a bit faster than walking pace) and the sax just bounced off the other car, no damage at all so i highly doubt 10mph bent that much. Full story plse.

Lack of driving experience tbh, I did it a few years ago when not paying proper attention to the road

i also notice in your avatar you have a "3.0 diesel wagon"
i thought it was a 1.5D saxo you owned?
but then i remember you put your brothers gti down as your car in the avatar?
leads me to beleive the truth isnt something you swear by.
ive gone into the back of a corsa before, admittedly, my n00bish mistake, it did nothing to my car, but done a bit of damage to the corsa's rear end

its a saxo, made of tin can. I quite believe that at 10-15 mph a saxo would need new bumper, bonnet etc.

yeah i think thats your problem, going too fast for the road and the conditions. but was that the estimated impact speed or the speed you were going when you started to brake. tbh i really hate people who are in traffic who see the car ahead move so they accelarate hard then realise that the car infront is stopping and hit the brakes hard. why not just crawl in 1st.

i find the worst thing in traffic is when the car in front moves a meter or so, so i just sit tight and wait for a proper gap to apear to creep forward, but the person behind gives you stick about them being late for work because im not moving lol

So im not alone on this!
Im always paranoid about going into the back of people and i cannot stand people that tailgate!
Elliot: shame about the sax but least its repairable and maybe do what Me & Ashleyp do from now on :) learn from it lad

I hit the back of a Honda Jazz at 10-15 and mashed up my bonnet+bumper and smashed both headlights. It's not all that difficult. :n:

too be fair it wouldnt do alot of damage at that speed due to the bumper flexing but it wud break the grill and light. i did it with my 106 ploughed a avensis up the are at 30 and it bent the bonnet up and cracked the lights and bumper n bent slam panel, fixed it ok with no major damage. if anyone hit me without insurance they had better hope they had life insurance! id sure ass hell kill them, my saxo maybe a furio with subtle mods but its still my pride...........

Dont see why people are giving me stick trying to say i was speeding and lying.
When i started to brake i was doing 10mph i skidded on leaves this made me travel quicker as i just locked up and slid.
Saxos are like tin cans!
