Right, recieved my raceland enclosed induction kit today from kam.
First off it seems that the induction pipe is too short as when I fixed the encloser on and then tried to mount it to the carb it doesn't really fit. Next my coilpack and battery seem to restrict access for the induction kit to sit, and then I had to relocate my power steering resevior so that the lip could be attached onto the slam panel...and to top it all off when I had finally got it fitted the bonnet would not close :wall:

So fairly stumped and pissed off atm.
Just wondering as many of you guys have this induction kit already fitted if you've had these problems and/or can suggest what I may be doing wrong?

It's a mk.1 vtr if it makes any difference...
Thanks.

was it definitely made for a mk1 not a 2?

I've noticed that it fits both mk.1 and mk.2's, been searching through some of the guides that haven't yet been sticky'd and think that I've figured out whats wrong, might need to buy some brackets from homebase though...

Yeh :panic:
I got there in the end, best thing to do when your pissed off is take a rest and go back to it...
Have had to re-position the power steering resevoir and make a custom bracket but all good now, feel alot better now :y:
Also replaced my rocker cover gasket, painted the rocker cover, fitted some stainless covers and some carbon bits whilst I was in a good mood again, still got to somehow fit my oil catch tank

haha yes mate had mega problems fitting mine. Fit the mk2 alot better.

I just extended the piping and shoved the fucker down between the battery and the coilpack

I too had this problem but it was on my quiky, i found the easiest way was to fit the bottom part first then add the top part although it was a tight fit, also had to move my pas res,

hope i dont have this problem on the saxo :(

Yeh, I love the kit but believe they could of designed it abit better, or at least make some sort of instruction manual so that it's alot easier to understand...

agree with that, but once its fitted it looks the buisness, so its worth the hastle :)

what filter did you get with it, the green or red?

He's posted alot of detailed pics into fitting it, so it makes it alot easier to understand fitting. Hope this helps.

Yeh, defineately one of the best looking, best performing induction kits out there.
I spent the little extra to get a green cotton filter as I thought it would be a waste not to :fcuk:

Yeh, around that, but you can buy bigger cones for more money ontop, I choose the 2nd smallest filter as I wasn't wanting to spend a fortune :fcuk:

would the larger cones fit inside the casing? doesnt look like there is too much room?

think they do mate, see plenty of people on here running the largest green filter you can get off of Kam racing, and I don't think they would sell it in the package knowing it wouldn't fit...
