£30 fine for front ones, we all know it's 75%, the traffic feds used that piece of kit for guaging the light and they are 45% :panic:, showed them the receipt for the tints and that it was a year before i bought the car but didn't help, they were doing my head in to be fair and i don't reckon they were too safe. two questions:

. those lasers they use to guage the light - it being pitch black outside doesn't affect their result does it?
. best way to get tints off? they are those films ones but not the cheap ones :)

thought front ones had to be at 30%? try heating it up and buying the sticky stuff remover.

i got like a tool that decorators use to remove paint from windows its basically a razor blade in a plastic handle, i combined sticky stuff remover with that came off easy, careful not to scratch the windows tho by rushing it takes a while!

Just peel the tint off and then get some hot soapy water and a kitchen scouring pad and the glue will come stright off and wont scratch the glass.

and the FEDS????? God i am getting old.

trust me you dont need all the sticky remover stuff just the scouring pads will do the trick. I used to work in a shop that did tinting and that all we used to use and it was the quickist way that we found. Day or night they can test the windows as daylight does not affect the tester thing. If you want the front to look darker but still legal get limo tint on the back windows and legal tint on the front and it makes the front look much darker. But you can see crap all out the back.
