Does anyone know where the gearbox filler is and should I use 80 or 90 gearbox oil.

mines on the top of the gearbox,but thats mk2 vts bud...........

Actually the filler is on the side of the box, right on the end, its like that on all saxo gearbox's, just a bugger to get the bottle tipped up to get the oil in thats why people use the filler on top of the box

the filler on the end of the box is there to give the correct amount of oil, once it starts to come out then its the correct level ;)

As Pred says, the filler is officially on the end, and thus it gives a good indication of when the box is full.
Although, quite a few people tend to use the breather on the top of the box, as it's easier to get to. Although this requires knowing how much the box takes, and presuming it's empty. And even then it's only really guesswork.

yer bit of guess work in volved:y::p ones youve done fer few driveshaft changers you no how much oil is needed...........:y:

Just fill it at the top and check the level by the offical one, No need for experinace of guesswork for noobs like me :A:

where on top of the box can you fill it? im changing my gearbox soon and been told it takes 2 litres of oil so if i drain it all out il just put 2 litres in from the top lol
