Well decided to take my car to the garage to find out whats wrong with it, turned out to have 3 faults.

1. P0141 - O2 sensor heater circuit, (bank 1)

2. P0136 - O2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 2)

3. P0115 - Coolant temperature sensor <- easily fixed

My main problem is with Faults 1 and 2, has anyone had these faults and/or knows what i should do to sort them? I know fault 3 is simply a replacement coolant temp sensor.

Also, does anyone know what these faults will do to the performance of the car and is there anything i should look out for?

If it matters its a 1.4 / 2001

I hope someone can help!

Lamda sensor. Sensor 2 indicates post-cat. So i'm presuming yours is a 2001-on car, with a lamda sensor after the cat?

thanks for the fast reply! Does that mean the lamda sensor will need to be replaced to resolve faults 1 and 2? Any idea on cost?

Well, fault 1 is saying that the heater circuit is not working. Which would be the reason for flagging up fault 2.

It could either be a wire fault somewhere upstream from the lamda, or it could be the lamda's heater element that's dead. If it's the latter, it'd need a new lamda, if it's the former, then a new lamda would flag up the same error.

if it is a wiring issue what does that mean for me? should i just leave it or what would the best option be? any idea on a price for a replacement lambda n also are they easy to fit? cheers for the help
