which gearbox???

hi people!!!
my vtr needs a new gearbox, i was originally going to buy another vtr box but ive since read on here that a xsi box or a 1.1 saxo box may be better, has anyone fitted one of these boxes to there vtr or s? im just looking for peoples opions realy before i make my decision.

ive seen a few threads about it and thers people sayin go for 1.1 saxo and people saying go for xsi so just wondering which was the best out the two lol!
are the 1.1 boxes cheaper than vtr boxes? ive just tried to look on ebay but it seems to be down atm! :n:

Out of them 2, 1.6 XSi is better for acceleration.

1.1 boxes normally got for about £50ish, from what i've seen. :)

50 quid!! sounds tempting!! vtr ones are goin for about 150! lol! how much do you reckon i could get hold of a xsi box? i fort xsi's where 1.4's?

xsis are 1.4 and 1.6 mate. both getting on for age too so you wont find a low mileage box now unless your very lucky.

aah are they? oh rite have they since been replaced by the quicksilver and gti then or sumthing mate?
fink im guna go 4 the 1.1 box, like you said it'll be hard get a decent low milage 1, plus i need 1 ASAP!! lol!
