Am i right in thinking that Anti lag is combustion inside the exhaust manifold when you are off the throttle, with a rich mixture and huge retarding of ignition to keep the turbo up at peak speed?

you need a turbo with a main shaft that can handle the extra temperatures that are incured when using anti lag.
the main option is a Mar-M shaft. but it can hike the price up of a turbo quite substantially.

if your only going to use a very mild anti lag more for a pop and bang effect then many turbo's are fine to a degree, aslong as you keep a very close eye on the Exhaust gas temps.

anti lag, launch control, full throttle gear changes are all things that help bring a smile to your face.

another downside to antilag is that it can often pip you over the sound limitations on many UK tracks, especially Bedford.

Launch control was awesome on my other Impreza as I had a stage 3 carbon ceramic clutch.

I have a new ECU for my current Impreza "simtek" with anti lag and launch control configured onto it. I'm debating what to do lol BUT i have 2 spare turbos lol
