Well as there is 100's of leaking sunroof problems, which mostly follow " how do you remove the headlining " i thought i would make a small guide.

1. Firstly you need to remove the sunroof handle, there is 1 screw, T25 iirc, then the handle should pull off.

2.there are then 2 more screws either side, where the handle would be, these are also T25., but for some reason mine didn't have them !

3.You then need to take out the interior light, this is done by getting a small flat head screwdriver and slowly prising it out. then there is a T25 screw holding the casing in place, this should then clip out of place ( 2 clips at the back ).

Once the both lights are out, there is a T25 torx screw that needs taking out.

4. You then need to remove the sunvisors, this is done by undoing the 3 screws, 1 T25 and the other T20 iirc.
these then clip out.

5. the grab handles then need removing, these should just unscrew.
The Drivers side has blanks in the way so you will need to price them off.

6. You then need to pull the door seals down, so you can access the door pillar covers.

7. the pillar covers just unclip ( iirc they should pull off towards the windscreen) BE CAREFULL, as there is a wire connected to this and it is very easily yanked off, once the pillar is off you can then slowly peel back the headlining.

You should now be able to see where the drainage pipes meet the sunroof.

http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy77/jambmx91/SDC10442.jpg

Grab a jug and place it under the pipe, pull the pipe off and catch any water coming out.

Get a funnel and poor some water in, be carefull though as i only goes to a certain point , as the pipe will be at an angle. then go down under the car and check for water.

If it is blocked then you will need to get an air compressor, or just a long stiff wire, and blow/poke down the pipe.

To check it is unblocked, put the pipe back on and poor water around the sunroof seal, put your head under the car and look for water dripping around the front wheel area.

if there is water, then you have unblocked it, just blow a bit more air down the pipe to clear any more gunk.

If it is just the passenger side pipe blocked, and it still hasn't been unblocked, then there could be a bolt, somewhere under the passengers side footwell, this needs to be undone, replaced with about 10mm of washers, and put back, this is because Citroen made another design fault, and have clamped the pipe with this bolt.

If you continue to get a leak, then it could be your ariel or that your sunroof needs to come out, and re-sealing, the water normally comes in under the actual sunroof seal, the thick plastic part. take this out and put some silicone around, and replace.

I will update with pics when i do all this on Wednesday.

Cheers

Thanks for that, very informative.

You should get a job with Haynes, their manual tells you to take it too a garage to get the headlining removed because the job is too complicated! Considering they have just talked you through stripping and rebuilding the fecking engine that's a bit rich.

I'm old enough to remember when a Haynes was more use than just a wedge for a table with a wonky leg.

well, i havn't done it before, but i''m fairly sure, if you take all the headlining off, there are about 6 iirc torx screws, that hold the whole lot down, undo them and it should all come out as one, i may be taking the whole lot out soon as well, so if i do , i'll make a guide for that too.

cheers
