Drove car in this morning to work.

On motorway, red light came on for temp.

Slowly, the heaters started blowing cold air.

Fan on constantly (even after switching off ignition)

When accelerating, 'rattle' coming from somewhere

Looks like pissing fluid from somewhere (not 100%, but looked like some fluid leaking - hard to tell as whole floor is wet from rain, but chemical substance looks like it's mixing in puddle from the car).

Haven't checked yet as it made me late to work and had to leave it.

Any ideas??

At the best it could be a perished, damaged or loose hose leaking water so that when the level became low the temperature warning light came on and the fan switched on. The worst it could be is that the head gasket has blown. Usually if you smell inside the expasion water reservoir you will smell the unmistakeable wiff of engine gases and coolant indicating a blown head gasket.

Broke down Tuesday night on way home. Made a heck of a sound like exhaust was coming off.

Took it to garage yesterday and metal pipe form radiator under drivers side had massive gaping rust hole.

All fixed now and has given car more power and got rid of 2 annoying sounds it has made for about a year.

I'm a happy dude....
