ok all engine and everything is in and wired in.....but come to start and the key symbol will not move from the dash display and therefore it will not start it turns over just wont start i am sure the immobiliser is ok is the ecu not unlocked? help please

Sounds like ECU might be locked or loose connection somewhere, or a blown fues check your fuses it'll be a 20amp.

nope all fuses are ok mate......do you know how i can remove the immobiliser? and if its removed does it matter that the ecu could be locked?

Ummm I think it does matter I'd unlock it before trying to remove the Immobiliser mate if I was you.

I'd have unlocked it to start with I think to save problems :)

its ment to be unlocked i was just thinking incase it is not unlocked for anyreason mate.

Oh right, in that case if your fuses are all good and you have all good wiring connections, I recon your ECU isn't unlocked. I'm not sure on how to remove the Immobiliser mate but get your ECU checked out it could save you problems if it's locked just get it unlocked, problem solved without messing with your Immobiliser :)

yeah the thing is i want it running for friday aint really got time to be sending the ecu u off unless definately nessasary if i remove the immobiliser would it run?

It should do yes, as long as that is the only problem for it not starting.

But like I said I'm not sure how to remove it :wacko:

yeah thats ok just wondering mate ill have a poke tonight am an 4th year apprentice electrician but cars go over my head mate.

Ooo nice, yeah I'm a Welder but I love working on cars, should of gone in that line of work I guess haha. I'm new to Saxo's though just starting a 1.1 to VTR track Engine project myself :)

yeah it quite easy once you done a few i just cant get my head around this immobiliser without some diagrams

Isn't there one in the Handbook maybe? I'm not sure I haven't got a book with mine :wacko:
