i know you can put sidelight bulbs in the wrong way? (wrong polarity i think) these were with led though

Yes it is possible.. i don't know how.. maybe some bulbs are different to others, but the bulbs that were in my car when i bought it were upside down i think.. Couldn't see anything :panic:
I'm guessing if there wasn't a large "prong" on the bulb.. then it could just be fitted however..

Does this mean if there in upside down, then they wont be as bright? Cuz mine arent bright tbh.

most bulbs point forward so it shouldnt matter if they are upside down unless they were led then they would not light up at all

When mine were upside down the light pattern was just well out, and i could only see a couple of meters in front of me..
If you look into the bulbs there are two filaments with reflectors. They shine light at certain parts of the headlight reflector to give the right beam pattern. If the bulb us upside down the light will be reflected in the wrong direction.. and will give a messed up pattern.
I don't see why it would make them less bright though..
Try some new ones in their place..
Iirc.. three prongs on the bulb, two small one big, the big one should be facing up towards you..

dont be sill its the mirror bit inside the head light that gives the headlight its brightness with reflecting the light from the bulb and it also determins the aim of the beam there idiot proof they have cut out sections on the bulb so they go in correctly
as for side light bulb you cant put them in the wrong way as there universal they can go in anyway lol

Hmmm varying opinions here then... it was a garage that told me about the bulbs been upside down I did doubt it was possible but just feel my lights seem to point in the wrong direction even after been aligned on an MOT light testing box and the bulbs are Osram nightbreakers which arent a cheap bulb...
