Revs build faster than the actual engine is going.

Does sound like you clutch is nearly on its way out, i would think about getting a new clutch kit asap.

The clutch is slipping, foot down revs moving, car not so to speak.

Clutch is gone time to re-new.

my mates hav had cluches go in the past and it revved allot more round than mine is.. it only does it a light bit, but i notice it because of the engine revving obv. but i thought it may be because of it being a wet night and the tyres not gripping fully.

how far does it hav to rev round fer it to be officially going?

put the car in 4th or 5th and leave the handbrake up and set off and if its ok it will stall

will this affect accelerating on a hill also? because when i go up a hill my revs seem to shoot up if my foot gets heavy without me speeding up.

also does it when i turn

I'd say when your putting £30 worth of petrol in a day lol.

How long is a peice of string. Your clutch is now in a broken state. Not good either if you need to get out of the way of somethig quickly.

once it starts going its only going to get worse! better to replace it before it starts screwing up the rest of the transmission

I had a slipping clutch on my old xr3i for at least a year. Just drove it steady-never got round to changing it though before i sold it on. In the case of car though slipping when going up hills etc its time to change it now buddy i'm afraid. Get a few quotes from local garages unless you have somewhere dry to do it your self - bloody freezing outside!
