right my car's being a bit sluggish morning start up and to day i started her up and popped the bonnet, i pushed down on the coil pack and got a right fucking shock lol looked closer and it sparking around the leads, my conclusion is it just the damp or is it the coil pack fooking up any ideas, once it warmed up it ok
i loled at the shock made me fookin jump lol

The high voltage is always looking for the easiest route back to earth. If that's your HT leads then it will short through them instead of the normal route of jumping the plug gap then going to earth.
Dirt is enough for high voltage electricity to travel through/accross. Try cleaning your coilpack and leads with wd40 or similar. If this does not resolve the issue then the insulation itself has broken down and new parts will be required i'm afraid.
