Dvd headunit

How do you get round a dvd head unit asking you to have the handbrake up to play a dvd? Can you have it so it thinks the handbrake is up? Sorry, I can't really explain!

best way to solve it if it's the ripspeed one is to take it out and place it in the bin

then put in a proper headunit

apparently you can get it chipped? i dont know of a way to "trick it" into thinking the hand brake is always on? but i remember seeing it on TV ? ask a local I.C.E shop if they can do it?

mines and a parking option to turn parking mode off, re wire it

earth the wire off the car somewhere or onto the back of the headunit

Earth the cable labled "parking brake" then its sorted..
