No gears...

Alright guys, basically won't go into any gear loossend, tightened the clutch cable, im sure oil is fine, crank sensor is a little broken so could be down to that, but im sure its the clutch, im pretty certain its a clutch problem any ideas guys?

Also had clutch replaced by MrClutch 1 half years ago they have a 2 year garuntee so gonna take it to them but just wanna make sure it is down to the clutch first anyone else have any more ideas on what the matter could be?

could be gear linkage orientated? Take it down to them anyway and tell them you think its the clutch

did it, or is it, making any strange noises? also the crank sensor being "a little bit broken" isn't going to affect the gears in any way shape or form.

ok, nah linkages are fine.

@ matt rac came out to have a look at the problem him adjusting, readjusting the cable temp fix saying it had nothing to do with it, he put it down to the clutch.

@ mandyslover~ no strange noises but thinking about it the thrust bearing use to make and old whinnied noise, thinking that may have gone, would this effect no gears?

if the thrust bearing goes you cant actually use the clutch iirc...

don't quote me on that though

I remember now, me, my mate and his dad replaced his clutch on his westie, the release bearing shat itself and the car was undrivable, couldnt get any gears...

My money is on that tbh

probably is then, rac reckon the thrust bearing might have come loose and smacked the crank sensor out which caused it to break,

could be that bud, like i say, my money is on that for the no gears issue
