Sony Headunit

Ive just put a Sony Headunit in my VTR which is great but when I switch the engine off after using it I lose all the settings. Does anyone know what is causing this?Is it a faulty headunit or is the wiring f**ked up??!!

It will be a problem with your live wires....



You will have a red wire and a yellow wire...



One of them should be wired to the battery (constant live) so you retain the settings, etc...



The other wire should be connected to an ignition live, so the radio only turns on when the ignition switch is on..



If you swap your yellow and red wires around, ytou should find it works properly..

Thanks went home last night and swapped the wires around now everything is cool. Dying to get my sub fitted now!!
