bunch of twats, all the speed cameras do is cause peopel to drive at like 20mph hiding them wont reduce speeders it will just increase the revenue(sp?) they produce as people cannto see them so they are not goign to slow down

The reason for them going up where they are is because of accident hot spots but we all know that's a load of rubbish. They go up where they feel like. I remember reading somewhere that one county put too many up and the government asked them to take some down.

They are pretty much everywhere anyway, round by me there are far to many !! But i think they should keep the yellow back's, as people will still speed, slam on the brakes when they see the camera at the last second and someone will go in the back of them!

yeah but they also get you when you don't speed..... some have been proved wrong!

But then again I'm just bitter I can't prove I wasn't speeding.... I got a ticket through saying I was doing 62 in a 50 when I know damn well there was a camera there and I never got flashed and one more final.... I got caught at 8.35 on saturday morning when my work starts at 9 and is 20 miles away.... I can't get there that quick even speeding let alone how I drive!!! Oh and no I ddn't get there late.

to be honest mate, you can't tell us that you never speed at all. I have moments when I'm going 70 in a 60 or 80 on a motorway very commonly. It's just natural to be honest.

Speed cameras suck, if the government had any sense they'd get rid of the cameras and have more unmarked police cars that would actually catch out the absolutely shit drivers. its rarely speeding that causes accidents its muppets who still use their phone when driving, dont signal or look b4 manouvering and just do what they like.

like others have said..the thing is speed cameras cause people to slam on the brakes and can cause people to go into the back of them!im all for keeping road accidents down but i think speed cameras are not the way!there money making machines!if the government want to prevent road accidents then get more traffic cops!speed cameras cant detect if someone is drunk when driving or has a brake light out smileys/smiley2.gif
