what thickness in mm is zero gauge wire?

im in the process of getting some just need the thickness in mm or inches as my supplier doesnt know what 0 gauge is and specifically what its used for so the prices are dirrt cheap, to him its just single core wire.

0 gauge is about 8mm in diameter (just the wire itself not the sheath obviously), and please tell me your not buying 0awg solid core wire, haha.

Welding cable FTW. Mine was 20mm dia with the insulation.

as webby said 50mm2 . . will vary, the cable i use is 52mm2. but no less than 50!!!
but note what you are getting, some cable will be that diamiter including the rubber casing! and you will onlyhave 5 strands of cable inside...fml!
