i have looked a few time and carnt make out how to remove my standard gear knob?? i have a saxo first 1.0i xreg could you please help me???

stradle it, stick it in 4th, twist and pull, make sure you do't pull it out the socket and watch your head!

i tried what baz said and pulled the stick out of the housing, and smacked my eye, so i hacked at it with a stanley knife and got it off that way, mind the thread though.

pulled it out of the housing lol u must b strong thanks for the stanly knife option i probably do that when i am 100% sertain that i am going to go with my kno gear knob

i hacksawed the gear nob off but left the part that holds the gear gaiter up on so it dsnt fall dwn

stanly knife and hacksaws lol thoght that it would have been a simple prosedure like a screw off or like baz said twist and pull but i crnt seem to do that unless i am doing it wrong lol thank for your help i take it all in and consider it but if hacksaws and stanley knife is the way looks like thats it lol smileys/smiley2.gif

lol the rubbery bit is piece of cake to remove but the lil shitty plastic bit is glued onto the metal stick. was on mine anyway, absolutely no chance of movin it. so usin the angle grinder, gritted my teeth as hot plastic kept flyin off on me hands
