just got my R serviced, it was badly overfilled with oil and driven whilst overfilled would this cause problems?

yes can cause serious problems any funky noises ??

nope , but engine light was on. emptied a liter or 2 out engine light off. came on this morning then went out, and after that it felt sluggish/blunt throtle response.

Can blow things bud!! like the engine main oil seal,seen this few times......

Take it back to whoever serviced your car - it's not difficult tbh to fill a car up with the right q of oil

problem is with too much oil is the crank shaft will hit a wall of oil everytime it goes around which causes alot of forces in directions its not meant to.

Overfilling the engine with oil can be as bad, if not worse , than underfilling. The engine will over pressurise and blow all sorts of gaskets and not good for the big end parts of the engine.
