As of tomorrow i'm starting the big part of my uni course...for those who don't know, i'm training to be a primary school teacher, and tomorrow i go on school placement in a year 4 class (9 or 10 year olds.) smileys/smiley14.gif

Today we had our briefing of what we have to do -
Every week we should have a week-plan, a day-plan for each day, plus lesson plans for every lesson of every day, of every week....each of which take about an hour.

Sounds harsh?

Oh yeah and by the 4-week block in the summer i'll have to teach over 75% of lessons myself.

my girlfriend is doing teaching and in her second year at uni now.

she's been in her school placement this time for about 2 weeks already, and i think she's there pretty much for the rest of the year now.

but she's really enjoying it and getting more confident the long it goes on.

lol thanks guys and gals...i've just got home and i've had a great day - my teacher-mentor is lovely and helpful, and the kids aren't too riotous either. I also randomly met a teacher who used to teach me!! smileys/smiley4.gif

Still got far too much work to do though, but i'm feeling a lot happier than i was yesterday. smileys/smiley20.gif
