I unlocked my car yesterday and got in but the red light just kept on flashing until I turned the engine on. Only started last 24 hours or so. Its the standard alarm btw. On its way out or am I missing soemthing?

Right, I lock the car now but less than 5mins later the alarm goes off. Seems OK if I lock manually with the key but thats not the point.

Any suggestions?

You don't have too, VTS alarms always start going spastic, turning off the sensors stops them randomly going off

I had to leave it outside on the road unlocked for a while, wasnt too happy about that :(

i have this problem tooo!!! fine when i lock manually but goes mad after 2mins if i lock with the fob.

so you reckon if i hold that little alarm sensor in the dash down before i get out, it'll be OK?

You'll be perfectly fine if you push and hold it until the red light stays on

Before you lock the car....everytime you ned to press and hold the button to disable them.

IIRC there is a guide somewhere that tells you how to disconnect them....tbh though that isnt ideal as its making your car less secure.

Imo you should get yourself an aftermarket alarm to protect your car properly.
