Average at most things tbh.
Nothing special but they are pretty solid.

They look alright with a few mods.
If you want something that offers "all show, no go" then get one.

My mate had one a while back, was a 1.4 SRI but his musta been a later model to this one im looking at, very nice looking car and had cruise control etc..
They look nice and i was thinking about black and doing all the interior lights etc blue,
Just wanted to know what people think of how they drive and handle etc, or any repetitive faults with them.
Thanks,

How would you match it up to a 1.4 MK 2 Saxo?

Performance wise there isn't much difference between it and a Furio.
Handling on the Saxo might feel better as standard but you can work on the Corsa to improve it.

I like them tbh mate. Very common though, but so's a saxo.
A lot safer than the saxo's aswell.

Corsa is up for 1700, ive got 1K aside and my saxo is up for sale for 1300
Leaves me 600 to play about with the corsa.. Upgrade suspension??
I like it to hold the road well, i love slammed cars :D
Upper Strut Brace?? Make a difference?

better build quality thats for sure lol.
not as quick, body roll is more with the corsa c as they are a slightly higher car. boot size is bigger, more leg room in the back for passengers.
engine wise
not really heard any bad reports on them tbh.
have you tried to search for owner reviews online?

Not sure what Corsa C owners prefer but on the B a decent coilover system with thick rear ARB gives decent results.
Apparently if you take off the front arb it will reduce understeer. (not on standard suspension)

to be fair bud. does not matter what you do to the car, it will always be a 1.4.
but if you insist on wanting it slammed and better then get coil overs, eibech anti rollbars, polyflex bushes, top mounts, upper and lower strut bars, rear strut bar. track tyres which are road legal.
and wala will stick to the road like glue :D.

I wudnt say im a racer, but i like to hit the corners and fly out of them :)
£600? would i stick to the road like glue with this much?

No bahaha!
you would end up with some poxy suspension. dont forget it also needs to be fitted. so if your not good with that sorta stuff you have to consider Labour charges from a garage.
road legal track tyres alone would be £600 but it depends on the wheel size tbh!
roll bars once again if you got them you would need them fitting.
poly flex bush kit is the worse as there not to cheap BUt once again labour and some can be a bitch to fit.
strut braces £60-100
for handling you also want uprated brakes aswell. so you can brake later etc etc people forget handling also involves brakes lol

I dont like the olde model, regaurdless of the engine inside them. Too Common down here.
The new model is very nice though,
I think you can get better performance and better looks elsewhere
Name your price, its where most of these threads start
But at the end of the day, go with what you think is good

Id like lower and less body rolling suspension and id be happy, like i said im not a racer, its got to go around town too and where im from the roads arent exactly smooth and theres heaps of speed bumps.

There not a bad car.....better built then a saxo...., they do actually drive nice ive drove a few 1.2 corsa c's and once they get going they are quite nippy. so a 1.4 would be abit better.
Though when you go to buy one....look out for headgasket/water pump issues.

Corsas are slow, shit and boring. If you want something that'll look good just get a mk2 golf and deck it, well within budget and will be alot better than having some shitty vauxhall.
