loss of power

had my saxo a year now and has been trouble free till a couple off weeks ago, car would start then cut out but start again thought nothin of it until car wouldn start at all took to garage (wen eventually started!). So mechanic changed fuel pump as there wasnt enough petrol gettin to engine, all was fine but a few days later and havin problems again. Car starts fine and idols fine to but pull off and get to 2-3k revs and car loses power, change up tp second and fine til 2-3k revs and lose power and all through the gears and am only reachin 40mph in fifth max. any suggestions please.

lamda sensor, feul rail ,dirty throttle body maybe had a similar problem with my old escort it turned out to be dirt in the carb

your cars in limp mode mate, most effective way of finding your problem is to take it to a garage preferably a citroen specialist, ur cars recognised the problem so will have a code saved.

Or your cat has collapsed and its blocking ur exhaust and choking the car :)

when was the last time it was serviced? Maybe over clogged up air/fuel filter?
