So went to my car this morning to find the drivers lock had been completely screwdrivered! Boot was left open, and all my shit tossed everywhere inside.

Nothing taken, and no dammage other than to the lock so all good there, still fucking frustrating though! I reckon they were probably after ICE, good job I hadn't bought any or what a waste of money that would have been.

So anyway, I thought rather than buy a new lock ill pay to get the locks removed & smoothed. whats the average price of doing so?

And also, can peopel recommend good/cheap places to get it done in the East Mids?

Cheeeeeeeers

Imo for the money you are hoping to spend having the job done you may as well do it yourself as you will get a very poor job.

as above, people don't seem to understand the work that a good paint job entails sadly

Mate, get a good alarm with ultrasonic sensors. As soon as someone breaks in the alarm will go off because they detect air pressure changes.

And they have to spray most of the door to get the correct colour match, thats why a good job costs a lot.

Id go down the alarm route

De-locking your doors and boot, making it look awesome... will create more attention to it. Get a decent alarm sorted and you'll be sorted and secure for any future modification and such you do decide on

find a mate to weld in a bit of metal behind the ;lock holes then stick some fibreglass and filler in ther do the best you can and get a body shop to neeten it up and spray it, will bring the price down as most of the work will have been done.

will still be more than 100 to spray both doors though by the time its all been prepped, painted, flatted, polished.
